Here at ISOSTANDARDSCERTIFICATIONS we have been involved since the start of this legal requirement and ensure that fabricators are able to achieve UKCA marking in accordance with BS EN 1090 with a 100% success rate.
Under the Construction Products Regulation (CPR), UKCA marking in accordance with BS EN 1090 (Harmonised European Standard for Fabrication of Structural Steel and Aluminium) is a requirement for any organisation that fabricates steel or aluminium components.
This has been a legal requirement in the UK since July 2014.
The standard includes any structural component that has been designed/fabricated to meet the BS EN 1991 series of standards (Eurocode 3 and 9) for steel and aluminium structures in buildings. As a fabricator therefore, you are required to demonstrate compliance with EN 1090-1.
To achieve structural steel/aluminium products UKCA marking certification, manufacturers, contractors and fabricators are required to demonstrate compliance with BS EN 1090-1 + A1:2011. This includes:
